where have all the words gone

i'm amazed at all the things people have to talk about. i'm empty these days. i don't do selfies; i don't tweet, text, surf the net or even talk on the phone that much. the only person i talked to all day today was the cashier at Publix and that was a brief, perfunctory conversation (if you can even call it that). i just have nothing to say. is that a bad thing? there are certainly enough things going on in the world to offer an opinion about, and i'm sure there is enough stuff in my personal life to talk about, but what's the point? there is just too much noise in this current society.
