A Letter to Trump
I don't usually get political out-loud in writing, but you have stunned me beyond what I can stand. So, here goes:
There is something fundamentally wrong with you. You act like a dictator in fomenting a coup to disrupt the electoral vote count by our top legislators. In America, you did this, with other Americans, not evil foreigners intent on taking over this country. You urge your rabid followers to destroy, to riot, to dishonor democracy by breeching the walls of the Capitol building. You stand arrogantly like Nero watching Rome burn. Even Mitch McConnell wants nothing to do with you anymore. You're a traitor to democracy.
You slander, you plain-out lie, you derail people's careers, you turn on your own staff, you twitter whatever blahblah you have rambling in your psychotic brain. You have twisted this country so badly it is now the Divided States of America. You, with your blatant disregard for anyone but yourself, gave permission to the mean-spirited, racist, and violent among us to come out of the closet (pun intended) and claw away at what we have strived for in terms of peace and cooperation with other countries and within our own borders.
You need to shut up! You need to stop the madness. You lost the election. Get over it. Go back to Mar-a-Lago and drink the expensive vodka sent to you by your good pal Putin. Get more of your fake orange suntan. Leave this country alone so it can heal from your cancer.
If there is a civil bone in your body, stop the destruction of this country, now and in the future because I'm sure you'll want to continue your temper tantrum. Stop your rabid followers from creating a bloody war within our own borders, American against American. Five people died and many were seriously injured during the takeover of the Capitol building, but you probably think this violence means people love you, think you're the greatest god in the universe. But the reality is you're just a man, a diabolical man, but just a man. Joe Biden is the next president, and on January 20th, he will be sworn in. Go home, Trump, which is unfortunately here in Florida. May you rest in peace (if that's possible).
