Chocolate for Breakfast

Yeah, I'm eating chocolate for breakfast. Maybe I'll eat it for lunch too (if there's any left). Whoever invented dark chocolate should get a Nobel Peace Prize or an Academy Award or a Pulitzer or a seat beside God in Heaven. There is nothing better in this world than a good piece of dark chocolate, except for falling in love perhaps. OK, maybe a great movie or book would be on par with a sumptuous piece of chocolate, or maybe a totally handsome man might be able to compete, someone along the lines of Brad Pitt (before he met Angelina Jolie). OK, maybe the look of love in the eyes of your dogs when you come home or the purr of a peaceful cat on your lap might steal the thunder of a melting piece of good-quality dark chocolate in your mouth. Yeah, it could be that a quiet beautiful sunny day like today here in Florida might make you look away from that tempting square of chocolate. And maybe the Multnomah Falls or the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon just might make you forget about chocolate for a minute or two...or three or four. It could be that singing sea lions on a jetty on a rainy morning in an historic fishing town on the Oregon coast could momentarily stop your chocolate craving. And it's true that watching whales playing in the waters off the coast of San Juan Island in Washington on a sunny afternoon is a mighty enticing diversion from chocolate.

Hmmmm, it certainly seems there's more to life than dark chocolate. Who woulda thought....
