Veterans Day

Just a quiet thought remembering all those who have fought and died for freedom and those who are now in Iraq and Afghanistan....

What is war and why do we, as human beings, continually feel the need to fight and kill each other? Why can't we live peacefully together? Is it greed? Is it possessiveness? Is it self-righteousness? Is it territorial? Animals kill over territory, food and water. Are we that much different? Sometimes it seems like we're all walking this road to destruction but we don't read the signs and we don't look beyond the yellow lines and we don't gaze behind us to see what we've done and where we've been. Is a peaceful existence just too boring?
